Cookie Policy

Inventra uses cookies and similar storage technologies to make the Service work and to understand how it is used. This page lists every cookie we set, what it does, how long it lasts, and how to control it. We comply with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

1. Essential cookies (no consent required)
These are strictly necessary for the Service to function. You cannot disable them while using your account.

(a) access_token
- Type: HttpOnly authentication cookie (JWT).
- Purpose: keeps you signed in across page refreshes.
- Lifetime: 7 days from last sign-in.
- Set by: Inventra.

(b) inventra_cookie_consent_v1
- Type: First-party localStorage entry (not strictly a cookie).
- Purpose: remembers your choice between "Essential only" and "Accept all" so we do not show the banner again.
- Lifetime: until you clear browser storage.
- Set by: Inventra.

(c) inventra-theme
- Type: First-party localStorage entry.
- Purpose: remembers your dark / light mode preference.
- Lifetime: until you clear browser storage.
- Set by: Inventra.

2. Optional analytics (only set if you click "Accept all")
At present we do not run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If we add one in the future (for example, Plausible or Google Analytics) we will list it here and re-prompt for consent.

3. Third-party cookies set during checkout
When you start a Stripe checkout session, Stripe may set its own cookies on the checkout.stripe.com domain to prevent fraud and remember your payment progress. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's own privacy notice — https://stripe.com/privacy. Inventra has no access to them.

4. How to manage cookies
- You can change your consent at any time by clicking the link in the footer of the homepage to re-open the cookie banner.
- You can delete all stored cookies and localStorage from your browser's privacy settings.
- Disabling the essential authentication cookie will sign you out and prevent you from using the Service.

5. Do Not Track
Browsers may send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we only run essential cookies plus an explicit opt-in for analytics, we treat all visitors the same regardless of this signal.

6. Changes
We will update this page whenever we add, remove, or change a cookie. The "Last updated" date below tells you when the most recent change was made.
